Music making is a very important part of life at the Old School. The School Choir rehearses every week and leads the singing in the daily assembly and at our regular services at St Mary's Church. In addition to this we have, over the years, been very proud of the achievements of the choir at local, regional and national music festivals. The choir also frequently sings at local events. Recently they have sung at the switching on of the Christmas lights at Southwold and at the Christmas carol service at the Old Chapel in Walpole.
Every child also has weekly music lessons with our specialist music teacher. Children all learn to play the recorder during these lessons and many children also take advantage of the many peripatetic music teachers who visit the school to receive specialist tuition in piano, voice, woodwind, guitar and percussion.
